In January 16th, the National Energy Agency issued all the data on electricity consumption in the whole society in 2014.


In 2014, the total electricity consumption of the whole society was 55233 billion kwh, up 3.8% over the same period. Sub industries, the primary industry 99 billion 400 million kwh electricity, down 0.2%; second industrial power 40650 kwh, an increase of 3.7%; third industrial power 666 billion kwh, an increase of 6.4%; urban and rural residents consumption 692 billion 800 million kwh, an increase of 2.2%.

In 2014, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment for power plants of 6000 kilowatts and above was 4286 hours, and 235 hours was reduced over the same period. Among them, the average utilization hour of the hydropower equipment is 3653 hours, the increase of 293 hours is increased compared to the same period. The average utilization hour of the thermal power equipment is 4706 hours, and it is reduced by 314 hours compared to the same period.


In 2014, the national power supply capacity (formally put into operation) was 103 million 500 thousand kilowatts, of which, 21 million 850 thousand kilowatts of hydropower and 47 million 290 thousand kilowatts of thermal power.
